Crochet hook case..
August 17, 2015 at 12:49:02 AM

I once made a case for my hooks... But then I bought more hooks..
So I had to make a new case, for the new hooks..

This is it so far:

I found the pattern here: http://www.lonnies.dk/2015/haekle-opskrift-haeklenaale-etui/

Line,

That's so pretty!  Kiss  Now I want to make one.  Thinking of trying my hand at translating.  That has to be the nicest case I've ever seen!  Kiss

Love the colors you're using.  Kiss

Melanie,

Thank you..
If you need help with the translating stuff, please ask.. I can read both danish and US patterns, so translations should not be a problem at all..

Line,

Oooh, thank you!  Kiss  I can generally translate, but there are often phrases that are completley confusing, LOL!  This one looks well worth the effort, for sure.  Kiss  Thank you for bringing it to my attention!  Smile

Line,

Awwww...you're absolutely right!  Kiss  What's the use of being able to make nice things and then not helping each other out otherwise?

Drool, drool, drool!  Kiss  Love the girls...soooooooo gorgeous!  Kiss  Do huskies generally make good company for each other?  So far they look pretty happy together.  Kiss

Love the name Silver, too.  Kiss  I once named a stray cat Silver...fell in love with her...such a sweetheart!

Congrats on the newest family member!  Kiss

Melanie,

Huskies are without a dobt the most pack oriented breed when it comes to dogs.. Most individuals function best in a pack. Jamie does not have that, so she have used us as her pack where I am the alfa.. We have a saying here in Denmark that goes something like this: Ecual kids plays best.. The same goes for dogs. You can even see huge differences between different breeds.. The huskies plays rough.. Very rough.. They would not be able to do that with a chihuahua, or even a labrador, because their "language" is different..

The two girls in the picture are siblings :p If you want to have a look at their everyday life just take a look at this site: http://mesmocan.blogspot.dk/ and click where it says "Hvalpekuld".
There you can see the breeders adult dogs as well as the previous litter + this litter where Silver comes from.. Cheesy They are very happy dogs..

Her full name is Silver Flame, because she has a hint of golden fur as well as the grey.. I really look forward to watching her grow up..

I found a solution to my stair problem.. I will get a chip for the elevator tomorrow (thank god, I hate those stairs).. They need to see the papers from my last pregnancy.. So I do not have to go through my doctor and a physical therapist.. Cheesy YAY..

Line,

I never knew different breeds might not play well together, but that makes total sense.  So with a new sister for Jamie, will you still technically remain the alpha?

Awww, thank you, what adorable pics!  Kiss  Loved seeing the other pics of Silver, as well as pics of the different puppies...sooooooooo sweet!  Kiss

They really do look like happy dogs.  Kiss

Love that her name is Silver Flame...such a pretty name for a gorgeous girl!  Kiss

Woo hoo, glad you can take the elevator after all!  Kiss

Melanie,

I will always be the alpha female Wink I am the one who makes decisions, and I am the one that train the dogs, I feed the dogs and so on..

But there is also the "dog leader" :p And that will be Jamie...

Line,

LOL, being dog-mom has its privileges!  Wink  I'm cat-mom, of course...though cats are too independent to be pack animals...I admit it would be kind of odd to see a pack of cats traveling together...  Wink

Melanie,

It definitely has it privileges.. Cheesy

Silver has been here for now 24 hours.. She has been soooo easy with everything.. Slept through the night, has only had 1 single accident indoors, and she runs in/out like she has been here forever.. Cheesy

Only problem with her: She bathes in her water bowl Yell Laughing
It's great with water everywhere.. We have moved all their water outside - there she is more than welcome to bathe all she wants.. :p I am looking for a plastic pool for her.. She seem to love water, so I want to give her the oppotunity to put her cute little paws in water when ever she wants to.. Cheesy

Line,

Awwwwwwwwwwww!  Drooling, drooling!  Kiss

Silver is so beautiful, and love the shot of her with Jamie...the two look like they get along very well!  Kiss

Love how well she's adapting to her forever home.  Kiss

Is that unusual for a dog to bathe in their water bowl?  Hope you find a plastic pool for her soon.  Do dogs generally love the water?  Hee hee, can't tell by cats...most of them hate water!  Our girl does...bring her in for a bath and you should hear her complain!  Little one does not enjoy baths.

Glad Silver is interested in the water when very young and that you're lovingly letting her enjoy it.  Kiss  Who knows...perhaps water could somehow be part of her training?

Thank you so much for posting pics...what a lovely treat!  Kiss

Melanie,

I don't know if it is common for them to bathe in what ever holds water.. I have never seen it before.
Some dogs loves water, some hates it.. I think that the breeder has much to do with it..
Our girl has been introduced to almost everything humanly imaginable.. You name it, the pup has seen it.. And that has a big impact on how the puppy is reacting and how well she behaves..

She is allready house clean, I have NEVER seen that with a puppy.. Only one single accident because I was not fast enough with rwading her signals..

The only thing is that Jamie needs to adjust a bit.. She has not lived with other dogs in 6 years.. But she is doing very good, keeping her cool and everything.. And she is very protective of the little one.. :p It's very funny to look at.. :p

Line,

I have friends who have dogs; they talk about how the dogs love the water, so perhaps it's not unusual?

Glad to think your pup has seen everything possible.  Kiss  I would think there would be much less of a problem that way, than a dog who has been exposed to nothing and is afraid of everything.

How great that she's house clean already!  Kiss

Do you think Jamie has pretty much adopted Silver as her little sister?  Kiss  How loving and sweet, and must be quite lovely to watch them together!  Kiss

Melanie,

It is not unusual - no.. Some breeds loves water more than others.. The retriever breeds LOVES water, but they are bred for this purpose - beeing retrievers and everything :p haha..
Some breeds will think: "Eeeeeew this is wet - there is no chance in hell you wil get me going into this wet stuff"..

Huskies are more like: "No reason to do this.. Oh you have treats.. Well water it is then.. "
They need a reason for doing anything.. :p Most of them anyway.. In Silver's head water is soooo fun because her breeder made it fun = puppy loves water..

Jamie loves water from the shower, but she does NOT like the ocean.. She will maybe dip her paws in it, but that's it.. If we find a lake she will also dip her paws, but she will never gå swimming in it..

Well.. The adopting part.. We are starting to have some small isues.. I am not sure if the issues we are having is Jamies way of teaching the puppy what to do and what not to do.. But we are working on it.. Smiley

Other than that small issue, she is pretty much starting to live with it, and accepting that she is not the only dog in the household anymore.. She is not used to sharing - and that is where my issue with her starts.. She will growl and push the puppy away from the toys, even though Jamie has NEVER played with toys.. -.-' I have started calling her a little retardo.. <- Of course in a very loving kind of way..
