Line,

Awwww!  Kiss  Well, I do think you're doing a lot more than 75% of the work, but I'm very happy to support you.  Kiss

I'm really glad you're enjoying making these pads and can make money in the process.  Kiss

Hugs,
Melanie

FINALY!
I get to show you the new yarns I bought..
The 3 cones are 100% highland wool.

The white stuff I don't know what is, but deffinitely synthetic - but still super fun.. I wanna make a hat from the white stuff.. :p

Line,

What amazing yarns!  Kiss  Enjoy...I'm so jealous...but very happy for you!

The top one is my fave...is that as gorgeously purple as it looks in the pic?  And you're so right about the white...it really does look super fun!  Can't wait to see the hat you make with it...how exciting...enjoy!  Kiss

Line,

So glad to hear the pic does it justice.  Kiss  Enjoy it...I have no doubt you'll do something amazing with it!  Kiss

Are you thinking perhaps a scarf for Mark?  December 15th isn't a lot of time, but I think a scarf would be realistic.  Kiss

The white is just gorgeous, and you could do something sooooo pretty.  Even if all you do is use it as a trim, maybe a simple single crochet border on the outside of a scarf.  Kiss  That delightful fuzziness is enough to make anything pop!

You've made some really nice choices and I can't wait to see what you do!  Kiss

Mel,

I was actually thinking about a scarf.. But I cannot find a pattern I like.. And my creativity has left me, or so it seems.. Sigh..

I'll figure something out.. Cheesy

Line,

Let me know if you'd like some inspiration.  Kiss  Because I was thinking...maybe some stripes or a zigzag design with the white would really show it off.  Will think on it some more.  Kiss

Hope your inspiration returns soon.  Kiss

FI-NA-LY!

Something new from me.

It's been so long since I have sat down and relaxed with my hooks.

My cousin is pregnant, expecting a little girl in April this year, and I asked her if there was ANYTHING I could make for her little baby.. It's the first girl arriving since her and I were babies, so it's kind of a big thing.

She told me to make her a dress, but the only ones she could find pictures of, had RUSSIAN patterns.. o.O

I don't read russian (when drunk maybe - but I am currently NOT!)

So I had to figure somthing out and came up with this.

I found a basic pattern on the top part, and then made a skirt to my liking.

This is the result (and no, I could not control myself, so I made slippers too!)

I only need some buttons for the back, and then it's completely done!

Line,

This is soooooooooo cute!  Kiss  You should publish your pattern!

I bet it would look great on a doll, too.  Kiss

Great work...you should be proud!  Kiss

Melanie,

Yeah.. Maybe I should..
I'll keep it to myself for some time - just because.. :p
Maybe when I have more time.. I have not written anything down for the pattern, I just went with it (I think I hate myself for this - cause I do it very often..)

Unfortunately the slippers are so very small (only 8 cm), so I have to make another pair, in a bigger size (what a shame though). I'll send the smaller ones over too, because she can use them for when the baby arrives.. Cheesy

Line,

It's hard to write down patterns as you go!  Miss one step and the whole thing gets messed up.  Cry

No doubt she'll love having two pairs of slippers instead of one.  Kiss

So.. My big boy turned 6 on the 11th of april, and he wanted a stuffed animal..

I have been working on this fox forever, actually since september last year..
All the parts were finished, i have just not been in the mood to stitch the parts together..

And oh my f***** god, i was about to throw the ting out so many times.. But i finished it, and he got it for his birthday..

The fox is approx 50 cm high when standing up :p

Melanie,

He really loves it.. The problem is now his little brother :p haha..
He ofc wants to have something too - wich I fully understand, but he wants it in this instant.. He'll have to wait for his birthday to get something this big.. I really hate stitching the parts together.. :p

Line,

I'm so glad he loves it, though I do understand his little brother's feelings. Cry Especially when they're young they can't understand why someone else might get a special gift!

Of course you're right to tell him he'll have to wait for his birthday...he has to learn this is the way things are.

Blurgh, I'm so with you on stitching parts together! I don't like joining anything together...side seams on garments, etc. All projects should either be worked in the round or be flat items, like scarves. LOL. Wink
