New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

The Delica color 1744 is not like the color pictured in the Delica palette. The pic of the color is much darker. It was used in a pattern I made and appears almost black on screen and in pattern. In actuality the color is a bright pink. So the piece I'm making doesn't look like my picture. Does this problem happen often? I bought the colors listed, but it's messing up my picture. Thanks for the help
Hello to all of you,
I have a suggestion for everyone wanting to make a c2c graph.
Since c2c is worked in blocks, why not try the tunisian square option to create a graph with square blocks.
I don't do the c2c graphs, so I can't guarantee, but worth a try.
Melanie,
That was actually my though.. Making and selling them for a small profit..
Making them in all kinds of colors.. and maybe even different shapes.. I think that you could do a heart shape as well.. Or something

Memah,
Welcome!
The color
number is the number from the palette you've chosen. If you've
chosen Red Heart Super Saver, that's the color number designated
for each color in your palette. The count is how many stitches you
have in a particular color. We don't give actual numbers of balls
of wool because it's impossible to know in advance. That number
depends on your chosen hook, your chosen fiber and finally, your
tension or gauge. All of that information together makes every
project as unique as you are!
In order to
figure out your tension or gauge, you must make something called a
gauge swatch. And most people hate doing them (yes, I do, too). But
they're necessary to know things so you can calculate not just
yardage, but also the finished size of your project.
Once you've made a gauge swatch, this link may be
helpful in figuring out yardage so you know how much wool to buy.

Hope that helps!
