New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hello,
My name is Jessica and I am very new to knitting, but have been a member for the last couple of years. :-)
I am curious as to weather there are still users here, as it seems the last posts were more than a year ago.
Hi,
I'm scratching my head as to why I made it this way. Looking at the regular chart it does show the correct palette used. I ran a pattern using Red Heart yarn and it shows Red Heart palette on the chart key page but like you say, "Palette Used: Stitchboard Word Chart" on the word chart key page. We discussed it here and draw a blank. (We're getting old. )
I'm on the tail end of debugging about 23 fixes and improvements and will add this into the list since it's an easy thing to do. Sometime this week I'll be turning on this new update and at that point it'll be back to showing the actual palette used.
Currently not in this version. Again in the changes I've made in the past 2-3 weeks but haven't made live yet, I set it up to prepare for manually entering the length. This new version won't allow this option yet. I'll probably add this soon. Originally we only allowed the width to keep the final work proportional. By entering the width and height, the final stitched item would not come out looking like the original image. This will be the drawback to manually entering the height. A new major version coming up which allows editing and a lot more features will allow you to enter the height and then have you crop the image to keep it proportional. More about that when it comes.
Color change has been addressed in the new version that I hope to be turning on this week. There were a few bugs relating to colors that will be corrected. Let me know if you still have color issues after the next version comes live. You'll see version 3.8 and a new version mention at the top when I turn it on.
To do this in the current version, you can change paper size and you'll be able to get more stitches per page. See this link for more information. Basically it allows up to 130 stitches across and 240 rows down per page. This requires that your pdf viewer/printer software allows you to tell it to shrink or fit the pdf to a regular printed page of paper. (Most software allows this). A new version coming up will also have shrink and enlarge features which will also do this.
Hope this all helps and I'm working hard to get the new updates enabled very soon.
Terry
what is the best way to keep the back side looking neat while switching back and forth between colors? I have never learned how to carry colors through the work as you switch back and forth. Do you have a tutorial you would suggest? I love your pattern wizard and really appreciate your hard work and support!! Thank you!

this was done for a confirmation for an 11 year old girl last year in october
Please take a look at my first fantasy art pattern. More will be added to this album & I'll create a website link as time permits. In the meantime, look for this in the mall here soon!

Hi,
Quote:
1-When I am creating a chart (even in word chart only) it
still states "Palette Used: Stitchboard Word Chart" even if I
select Red Heart yarn. Is there an option to change this
if premier is purchased? I am not referring to the bottom of the
page, I mean directly under the graph photo.

2-Is there an option to customize my width AND length? For
instance if I want to create 100 x 150? I see currently I can
choose my width but not my length.

3-When I input my pic to make a graph, it changes the
colors. How can I fix this so that it keeps the original
colors?

4-Is there way to make less pages on a PDF? Some of my
charts are coming out to be 16 pages long.
