New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Welcome!
If you're referring to the finished pattern being 50 x 70, that means 50 stitches by 70 rows.
Welcome!
I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, so I'll direct you to the freePatternWizard above to make your pattern. You can find it in the menu bar under patterns/create a pattern.
If you're looking for instructions on how to make a charted afghan because you've never made one before, my suggestion would be to start with a very small project, so you can see how it works and whether or not this is something you want to make for a wedding present, which may be very, very pressured. For that, I would suggest searching online to find out about smaller charted patterns. Something like a pillow would be a good practice piece.
Hope I've helped you.
Debbie,
It all looks great! Thank you for fixing it all and re-uploading. That was a lot of work, and greatly appreciated!
Neave,
It really should be, but it's not. There are too many people who entirely lack empathy for others.

Secoya,
April turned out divine!
I don't think it matters one bit that
it's not more of an egg shape...I think it's unique and wonderful.
This is the kind of thing I do, make something my own, even if it's
not "conventional." Besides, if you're making it for you, you have
every right to do something that you like best!
Can I ask you
for a big favor, though? If you edit the top message to add your
picture, can you also create a new reply message, also with the new
picture? If you only edit, nobody really knows you posted anything,
but if you add a new message then the category will light up with a
"NEW." And I want people to see your beautiful work
every time!
