New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Thank you so much, and you have a lovely day, too! Glad what I said was helpful.
Hello everyone,
I'm José, a mother of 3 sons and a lot of hobby's but less time
I love beading alot and working with those little beads for about 5 years.
I also like Bead Embroidery and now I am in flat Peyote cuff bracelets with all kind of patterns.
So i'm really glad I found this community here, because I want to make my own patterns!
I've seen some really cool patterns here already and was so glad that I could download them for free and I will for sure upload some homemade patterns here for those of you who like them.
I'd love to learn more about patternmaking so that's why I joined Stitchboard.com
Talk to you soon!
José

Mary,
Welcome!
Working from a
photograph with only 60 stitches across is simply too small. You
won't get much resolution, because there isn't much
room.
If you can take a look at
your photo with a graphics program, you can see how small of an
area approximately 60 x 70 pixels is, and that's not even taking
into account that you may not want to have your stitching all the
way out to the edge. If you zoom in, it will be such a negligible
amount of the photo, it will likely not look like much of anything,
more of a blob of color.
I'm not sure what
to suggest to work with that small of an area and a photograph. You
can try reducing it, again with a graphics program (the
freePatternWizard doesn't work like a graphics program, so it will
indiscriminately choose pixels regardless of what you want), though
the results are likely to not turn out well.
I'm so sorry not to have a better answer for you. If
you're on a Windows computer and don't have a graphics program, I
can give you links to two very powerful, free programs that have
been around for at least two decades, so you can look closely at
and/or edit your photos.
Thank you so much, and you have a lovely day, too! Glad what I said was helpful.
