New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Another work-in-progress from one of my favorite designers.
I have a bunad (Norwegian traditional dress) that came without a purse. To buy one would be $100, which is how much the bunad cost itself! The purses traditionally have embroidered designs on them, so I decided to stitch this and make my own purse out of it. The bunad has mainly blue/purple tones, so i decided to stitch it on a piece of perfectly sized navy blue 14 count Aida, which was a great choice because the colors really pop! It has gotten pretty wrinkled, just from traveling, but I will iron it (on the wrong side!) before finishing it and turning it into a purse. My stitching is pretty uneven because this is my first time working on a dark fabric, even though it is 14 count Aida, my go-to choice that has always been good to me.  I t could be that my top stitches are facing to the right ( / ) and I think it looks beeter facing left. Does anyone know if this really matters?
Anyway, I love how this is turning out so far, and I will update it when I make progress.
This picture is on it's side, the actual project is roatated 90°, I do not know why it was flipped when I posted it.

I have the braclet with the rose, after a template refinished. I´m not yet able to convert a sample idea into peyote. So I`m here to use your program to do that Smile But with the program I still have difficulties*g I don`t think I fully understand the function yet. Maybe I expect too much from the program. So far I was able to take over from finished examples, so I didn`t to worry about the width and length of my head. I am still a beginner of designing patterns myself. I created the peyotepart of the leatherbraclet by counting the pearls with the help of a strong enlargement of the picture.
I couldn`t make a photoalbum. Uploding photos doesn`t work lilke here.
The window that opens there requieres a URL adress.
I cannot reach my computer files over it.
The forrum correction you do when you do it Smile
love greetings Conny

Graceannem,
Welcome! Smile
Going with Terry's answer, I can suggest a possible solution. Make the cap solid blue and embroider the letters on later with the white. I've seen that done before on crochet and it looks great! Smile

Hi.

There are times that the program will not use one or more of the colors you choose if others selected are closer to certain colors in the image.

A simplified example would be if you send it a pattern with only black, white, red, and green, and tell it to use red, green, and blue, it would probably turn the black into blue, white possibly red, green or blue, red would probably be red, and green would probably be green.  If you're working with line art like a logo, it's easier to manually select colors to use.  Photos are more difficult.

Actually I just ran this example and it turned black into green, white into blue, and did match the other colors.  Apparently the green I selected is closer in color and brightness than blue to the black in the image.  And apparently the blue I selected is closest to the white in the image.

Original Image Pattern

As far as introducing a non-selected color, I'm about to make a change to the program that might take care of this.  It sometimes tends to happen when the original image does not have black and/or white.  When it does happen, it usually adds a gray.  I'll post again when I make the update relating to this.

I have figured out how to get the colors I want for the picture I've uploaded. Now my question is, I want to do a corner to corner or a graph-afghan, I'm not sure what stitch the graphing suggests. Is it single stitch? Could I just do a C2C on my own with the graph, would it line up the right way? I'm sorry if this sounds confusing haha
