New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Thank you!
Neave,
I agree, it could very well happen. Humans are warmongerers. Despite the fact that not everyone is that way, the number of people who are seem to overwhelm the number of pacifists.
Not to get depressing, but if we don't blow ourselves up, we'll find another way...there are already terrible climate change issues, and people who have the power to do something about those consistently stick their heads in the sand.
I've read things where people make the comment that we can fit so many more people into an area the size of Texas; sadly, those are the same people who would be appalled at how small of a space that would be. In third world countries, they have millions of people living in tiny spots like that, which are unfit for human habitation...but they have no choice at all. Guaranteed, the closer people in denial get to making that happen, the faster that will happen in more democratic countries.
I don't think it's hopeless, but in order for change to occur, people who stick their heads in the sand have to start thinking realistically. I don't know what it will take for that to happen, though.
Neave,
Serves him right. He did that to himself. I hope that helped you to feel a little bit better, that he didn't get away with what he did?

Shaleigh,
That looks wonderful!
And the back of your work looks divine,
too. I wasn't that good until I started to get TOO into making it
look neat. But as previously mentioned, it made stitching so much
less joyous.
Didn't shop classes look like
FUN?! I have nothing against cooking or sewing, but both are pretty
common. Woodworking...wow, so fantastic that you got to try it
once. What a great skill for people to have!
Thank you...you're SO right. It's very difficult to find
decent people. We ended up with 3 quotes and went with the one who
had the best info and references. LOL, not much of a personality,
but meh, not a big deal. Didn't hire the guy for his personality,
LOL.
So glad you're getting a new computer
and sorry the old one is so slow! Ugh, computers. They do have
their hissy fits. I swear, mine hates me.
Stitching is
so very soothing...very glad it helps you, too. And you're getting so much
accomplished! Absolutely loving this - enjoying your progress and
always looking forward to new eye candy!
Thank you!
Donna,
Welcome!
Great question!
It depends on the size of your beads. There are charts for
measurements of strung beads, beads stitched per square inch and
rows per square inch. I haven't yet been able to find something
specifically measuring beads per inch in peyote stitch, so here are
the references I did find.
For number of
beads per inch as strung and number of beads per square inch,
you'll find that info here:
https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/how-many-seed-beads-need-340315
For rows per square inch, you can find that info
here:
http://www.facetjewelry.com/stitching/resources/2017/11/how-many-rows-of-beadwork-per-inch
If you do find what I can't seem to, please stop back
and give us a link!
