New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

I would love to have the mosaic tile pattern option if you decide to make it available.😎
Hi Melanie and Terry,
Thanks for such a quick response!! Terry I am on a laptop with Windows 10. My problem was that I was only seeing a partial palette of colors in 5b after checking the option to choose my own colors. I meant to come back in here and tell yall that I managed to dix the issue just shortly after posting the original message. I had just thought it was a program error and not something in my own settings which is what it turned out to be. I had my web pages set to zoom in or something. anyway I changed something from 100% to 50% in my internet settings and suddenly everything on the page was a bit smaller and everything fit in the box. Can you tell I don't know a ton about computers? lol I know just about enough to get myself out of the little mess ups I find myself in. Like this one!! lol
Melanie,
You are right crochet is ageless!! and with all of these types of crafts becoming popular again I am thankful that I know what I do because I can teach my daughter along with numerous nieces and nephews and maybe if I'm lucky granchildren somewhere in the future.
Blessings to all,
Amanda
Sherry,
Thanks so much for the great input!
I've had the trouble you mentioned with the Simply Soft. I've never used it for a graphghan, but for other projects, there were some issues with weaving tails. It's also a bit thinner so I've had to use a larger hook (or needles) to get the right gauge, as well (which can make it too loose or lacy), and it's too soft to use for some stitch patterns, as it doesn't really hold up to them. I've used it for baby blankets in the past, and for that it worked quite well.
Red Heart is what I hear about from a lot of people, due to the number of colors and easy availability.
Monica,
What a thoughtful thing to do, and these look beautiful! Love your colors, and the stitch pattern is sooooo nice.

Hello all!
I am new to stitchboard, but not to crocheting. I've been crocheting for 42 years on and off. I learned from my grandmother, who had me in awe when she would create berets for my grandfather to wear (his favorite). I'd ask everytime she'd pick up her hook, she finally had enough of me asking and taught me. My very first project was a beret for him.
