New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hi, mmignardi,
The bottom line is that we're the same as everyone else here. We try to treat everyone like we want to be treated and try to be very responsive to what features users would like.
We're constantly rearranging our priority list and really, really listen to everyone who make suggestions.
Have fun with the program.
I wish I could tell you everything that's coming! You'll see some announcements in the coming months. Also a whole new look and operation coming.
Terry
Galia,
Welcome!
Actually, the freePatternWizard defaults to "Graph Only." Make sure you're logged in, and when you get to #7, where it says, "Pattern or Word Chart:" make sure it's set to "Graph Only."
Okay! Sure thing, I'll ck that out. Meanwhile, the best place for me to find yarn is at Hobby Lobby. They sell a lot of "I love this yarn" brand. Do you have a color pallette for this particular brand of yarn that I could use in one of my graph patterns?
Thank you so much!
Is there a certain yarn that should be used to crochet a pillow from the graph? I live in a rural area and my choices are slim, so I may have to purchase it online.

I had the same problem with black linen! I was so
thrilled with not having to make fractional stitches because I was
using linen, then discovered how hard it was to see the stitches.
I never finished the
project.
Things that were suggested to me at
the time were to use something light on my work surface (LOL,
mostly my lap) and another way is to light up a work surface (such
as a light showing on the lighter colored item on your work
surface). You can also try a bright work light shining on the
fabric itself, something with a bulb made for closeup work. A
magnifier could help, too. (I did not have more than the fabric to
put on my lap back then.)
Some of the
solutions aren't easy and some can be pricey (like a really good
closeup work light), but they do tend to help.
The advantage is
that if you can work it out, anything stitched on black fabric
looks soooo stunning! I had finished other black fabric items
back when my eyes were far better and seeing on black didn't drive
me nuts.
