New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Good morning or good evening everyone, depending on where you live. =)
I have a question about row and columns with beading patterns. How many columns is 6 inches? How many columns are the standard 80 in the creating your own pattern program? How do I figure out how many columns I need and rows I need if I am dealing in inches? Thanks! Have a great day nad/or evening!
Donna
Thank you I will give both a try.
Hi,
Sorry you're having problems but we're here to help. And thanks for being a premier member. Subscribing to the Premier functions don't make it easier to create patterns. It just adds some additional things you can do with the program.
Could you please answer a few questions so I have a better idea how to help:
Are you creating a bead pattern, cross stitch, crochet, or knitting pattern?
How can I get upgraded to get to make bigger patterns?

Could you please answer a few questions so I have a better idea how to help:
Are you creating a bead pattern, cross stitch, crochet, or knitting pattern?
In section 5c, are you letting the program choose the colors or are you telling it how many colors you want?
In section 6, are you setting the number of stitches across?
See if checking the "Antialias On" box in section 8 makes any difference.
Would you be willing to email a copy of one or two of the images you're using so I can try it out and make suggestions of settings?
Terry
Kelly,
Welcome!
There are
several different calculators available; one of the ones I've used
before is this:
https://www.shinyhappyworld.com/2014/03/how-much-yarn-do-i-need.html
I used this one because I felt it was pretty clear. Even
though it assumes you're using all of the same color for a project,
the math is basically the same, as long as you use the number of
stitches for each color.
There are other
good ones, too, so you may find something you prefer!
How can I get upgraded to get to make bigger patterns?
