New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Neave,
It's so sweet that it's a generational thing, too...keeping that art alive! It's sad when art doesn't get handed down to younger generations. What a wonderful gift for your nana to have handed to you!
Welcome! Feel free to share any photos of your finished work so we can all drool!
Can I be upgraded as well? I'm doing a large blanket of the chicago skyline. I'm so excited to have found this site!
Sherry,
Wow, if I didn't know better, I'd say that was knit, not crocheted! It looks amazing. You've got to write up a pattern for this one! It's so close to the wavy cables that are found in knitting. Is this difficult to make? Would you consider it okay for a beginner, or is it more of an intermediate thing?
Love the color, too...deep red is soooooooo nice! This looks like a hat I would wear after making. I wear a hat now, with the cold weather, but it's just a store-bought thing (not knit or crocheted) and I really don't like it all that much. I don't like hats in general, so for something to look that nice, it has to be spectacular!
Love!

Fabbyash,
Welcome!
No, those are
for the gridline markings, so your counting is easier. It has
nothing to do with your actual pattern graph.
