New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Angie,
Welcome! Smile
The size depends on which craft you're doing and other factors.
If you're working in cross stitch, it depends on the size of your fabric.
If you're working in crochet or knitting, that depends on your gauge. For that, you must make a swatch to determine how many stitches and rows you're getting per inch. That's something no one can determine but you. Kiss Everyone's swatch will be different, depending on your needle or hook size, the fiber you'll be using and how tight or loose your tension is.
This is why we can't give a blanket answer and the reason there's no information in the pattern about that, because it's different from person to person, with everyone's guages being so unique. Kiss

Thank you! Smiley

Hi.

Assuming all 96 of the colors you chose are actually in the image, try setting the Color Sensitivity in section eight to 1.

If there are chances that you changed the brightness, contrast, smoothness or some other settings, it may be difficult to get the exact same pattern.

Given the same image and the exact same settings, the program should give the same pattern.

Changing the stitches across or sending it a different size image would change the pattern.

Here's another idea.  It may sound strange but go into the Preferences tab (lower left) and try changing the "Pdf Cover Page Image Appearance" setting.  Until I turn on the next version (which I hope will be this coming week), this setting can sometimes affect the colors chosen in the image.

I'll try to come up with some other ideas but these are a start.
