New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

I don't have any pics of stuff I've already done - I gave them away as gifts ... but I'm tinkering with the idea of creating some dishcloth patterns for the loom to share with others. I don't know when I'll be able to get to this, but it's something I've been seriously considering.
When I'm ready to go with this, I'll talk to the people in the looming circle{s} to see what they would be best interested in ... cloths with pics or different stitch patterns. If we follow a theme, these can then be made into blankets. Just a thought.
Hello to all,
I have a question, i have a picture that i would like to create into a crochet patter but i want to simplify it. I would like to add another picture to it as well. I am having trouble doing that, if there is anyone that could help me, thanks in advance.
Sarah,
The best thing would be to recreate your pattern using the Stitchboard Basic Palette. The basic palette was added specifically with yarns in mind. The problem with matching the full palette is that yarn manufacturers aren't interested in making hundreds of colors, as they'd likely not sell more than a few skeins of many of their colors. So this is why you're best off with the basic palette. I know the results are better with the full palette, but unless you're interested in making something with DMC numbered embroidery floss, the colors will be impossible to match, I'm sorry to say.

Eafears,
Welcome!
You're correct
that the freePatternWizard designates the length for you. This will
be changed in a future version, but when it was first written, we
were concerned people would either truncate or skew their patterns,
so we decided to let the freePatternWizard figure the length based
on the dimensions and aspect ratio of the original
image.
Until then, the best suggestion I
have is to add borders to your original image, to bring it to the
exact 180 across amount, so that the length is the 198 rows you
need. Since the length is coming out too long, you would need to
add side borders so that your image will still be the 180 stitches
across, but then the length will be shortened when it goes through
the freePatternWizard. It will take some experimentation to come up
with the correct number, but that's the most optimal workaround we
have so far, until the next version is available with the
customizable length. Unfortunately, I can't give you a date for
when that next version will be available.
