New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Kellie,
Welcome! Toronto...one of my favorite places. I love Toronto, love Canada, love Canadians!
You definitely have a wonderfully varied repertoire of crafts! What kinds of leather crafts do you do?
C2C is really a wonderful technique. I made some dishcloths with it and loved the way they turned out! It's quick to do, which in my book is always a plus.
Feel free to post pictures of any of your crafts so we can all drool!
Sue,
Welcome! Love your pic!
No worries, you haven't done anything wrong. The artwork function isn't currently available. Instead, we suggest using the color sensitivity and other special effects functions as needed.
Hello Beatrice,
Welcome, I'm from Tx. too. I have the same issue with the color blocks, I can't see them.
I made my own Cowboys pattern here, and chose the word chart because I find it's much easier than trying to see the blocks.
You can choose how many stitches you want across, but the program will choose how many rows so it doesn't look skewed.
So my advice is to make your pattern here, select 240 stitches, then select word chart.
Crochet stitches aren't square, so it probably won't be 240 rows, but it will look right.
Hope this helps.

Wendy,
Welcome!
As you probably
already know the freePatternWizard doesn't generate patterns for
granny squares and I'm not familiar with any program that does.
Perhaps you'd like to use a different stitch?
Sherly,
How do you find sewing
needles with big enough eyes? I think what I've been using for
fractional stitches is a sharp tapestry needle. Except I live in a
place where there are no longer any stitching stores, so options
are few.
I like to work with linen, because
then fractional stitches are soooo easy!
