New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

how did you do the backing for your pillows

I can not get a pattern color choice. My orange black and white picture is coming out purple, gray, black ect.

Thank you so much for the feedback, Melanie, I really appreciate that.

This was a 'real-lfe' example of why swatches are so important.  Eventhough on the very rare occasion, it can have a good outcome.  My experience has been that very few times does not swatching have a good outcome.

Swatching is absolutely crucial for designers. The swatch gives you all of the information you need up front about your pattern before you ever start crocheting or knitting the actual piece.  Almost 100% of the time doing your homework by swatching at least a 5" x 5" piece will actually end up saving you far more time, energy and frusttration than if you hadn't swatched.

Again, thank you for the feedback.  It is very important to me to write tutorials in such a way that people can understand them and use them to suit their own purposes.

In doing a lot of testing and working on some new features, I've seen the page jumping around a lot when loading.  This was due to the social network icons at the top of the page.  Each one is actually a little window to the particular social networks' system so formatting on the page is slightly out of my control.

I just did a work-around that greatly reduced the effects they have on the actual PatternWizard page.  Now when you load the page, they may move around a bit while they load, but at least they stay in the little "corral" in which I put them and no longer move the whole page around.

I'm not too worried about the way it is right now since we'll eventually be bringing a whole new look and the formatting will all change anyway, at which time we'll probably decide on a different look and format of the social network links anyway.

I hope to have another feature running in the next day or so.  And then on to more free stuff!

Terry

Natalie,

Welcome!  Smile

How cool to have cross stitch meet ups in your area.  Smile  I used to live in an area with a cross stitch group that met (through a shop), though it was a long time ago.  It's always nice to have a sense of community!  Smile

Feel free to share photos of your work...we all love to drool!  Wink
