New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Hi.

There are a lot of variables that can cause this.

It sounds like you chose "I will choose my colors" so it should only choose those colors.  I think Herrschners Worsted has 57 colors and is a bit limited.

Another thing that causes stray colors is if the original image is a .jpg.  It would be best to send it a very small .gif image with limited colors.

You may also want to try turning on Antialias in section 8.  Also adjusting brightness and contrast might help.

These are some ideas that come to mind.

In December I'll be working on a new version that includes the ability to fine-tune the pattern manually before printing it out.  I'm not sure yet whether this new version will be available yet then but I'm doing testing on it now.

Thank you for that reply but that is not really what I meant........... What I meant was how do you control the actual pattern to be a specific size? For example I have a picture of my sons dog and I made a pattern for filet crochet but when I am crocheting it with size 10 thread ( which I thought was basic or say standard, for filet crochet ) it is turning out much larger than I really wanted. So the problem lies with the pattern I made not with my chosen thread or yarn or hook...... How do I control what size finished product my "pattern" will make?  I'm assuming making the pattern with less graph squares but I don't really understand your program for that........is that where it says I can put in how many blocks I want and you have it defaulted to 80??? So how do I figure out how many blocks I want on my pattern? I'm sure for someone who is good at math it's probably an easy answer lol but I honestly have no idea and appreciate your help. I'm using a 2mm hook and size 10 thread if that helps........ Or do I have to shrink my picture of the dog? Or is the math backwards and you figure the amount of blocks for the pattern by your crochet gauge??  I'm confused lol Please help!! I appreciate it!! Thanks Smiley

Line,

A fox scarf would be stunning! Kiss

LOL, if you like Picasso, that wouldn't be too bad! Laughing If you don't...um... Wink

Line,

I understand.  Kiss  I would have trouble with that, too.

Hugs,
Melanie

Melanie,

They are really cute Cheesy I love them.. So I'll have to buy some yarn for them.. I don't think I have any cotton lying around in the house in the colors I want..

Maybe I should make them in different colors so people will know which glass is theirs.. I don't know yet.. I'll have to look into that..

School is school.. Getting real tired of it.. Just had some "midterm" exams.. Really just one.. I haven't gotten word yet if I have passed or not.. Getting real nervous now.. It was math, so I'm pretty sure I sucked.. :/

Oh god.. Sorry for the guy with the husky..
They do tend to destroy almost everything when under stimulated or borred.. Or both.. I'm going through that phase with Silver.. God she's driving me crazy right now.. She's really difficult - it's so hard to find the perfect training method for her, and especially finding the right amount for her..

She have also decided to go back to the puppy phase of life, where she suddently isn't clean anymore.. She's urinating all over the house when we don't have an eye on her.. And when she is home alone, even if its just for half an hour.. WTF!?
She have also decided to go on adventures by herself.. She simply just jumps my fence.. -.-' *facepalm* stupid dog..
Luckily she still come when called - which is the best thing ever..

I hope your "friends" huskies new family knows how to care for such a dog.. They are a real joy to have around when properly trained..

How are you though all of this mess with everything?

I'm sending warm thoughts your way.

Hugs
