New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

I have been trying to create pattern... I have used this soo many times I have lost count... and have never had a problem... but for some reason, for the last 48hrs, I havnt been able to do anything... I select my file, but every time it just says no file selected... I have tried it with lots of different photos... but nothing is making a difference... all help much appreciated
Hi,
If there is only a small amount of white in your image, try turning down the "Color Sensitivity" in section 8.
A lower "Color Sensitivity" setting also helps when you have a small image.
A new version is coming soon that also addresses some cases when manual colors are chosen in section 5b. I'm trying to turn on this new version within days.
Also, if you post your image here in a message, I can see what you're working with. Or if you want to email a copy instead, let me know and I'll send you an email. You can then reply to it and attach your image.

Ok,
so just to clarify on how to "read" the pattern, does each rechtangle represent a stitch? And do you recomend going from the bottom up or side to side?
Paula
