New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Alswoman,
Welcome! Smile
The word chart reads as you would crochet it. It's made so you don't have to cut off each row at the end, but just continue by turning your work as usual. Smile Row 2 will be the reverse of row 1 and so on. Smile

Hello Everyone!!
I wanted to started off by saying how happy I am that I came across this community forum. I feel like I'm right at home when I go through the site. I just joined today so I'm new new to the community. I'm going to tell you my story I hope it don't make you bored or sound like a bunch of blah!! blah!! to ya'll..
My name is Virgil and I'm 35 yrs old. I live in Ann arbor, Michigan there isn't many local craft groups locally that I know of. I just go married August 2018 to my soulmate sent from God. He's such an amazing man. Always supportive and loving. He's truly a gift sent to me from God. I can't express with any about of words here to explain the love we have for on another.

I started messing around with crocheting when I was like 10 or 11 years old I thought I could make anything knowing how to do just the single crochet stitch that my Aunt had taught me lmao. Then she taught me how to do a Granny Square and from that moment on I fell in love with it. I just started messing arounf with Tunisian Crochet a couple months back. I've not figured any of the stitches out yet. But I do know it's caught my interest!! I'm here beause I want to learn as much as I can .

The one thing I would like to know from all of you guy's and gals here is "Which books, sites, videos, software anything along the lines of crochet and Tunisian Crochet knitting did you guy's watch, read or maybe use to start you guy's off.
I was wondering is there a stitch guide in this community or how to Threads here haven't looked around much like I said I just joined today.

I hope that I didn't go on and on and make your ears bleed lmao ... I have a good feeling about this community. I feel like I'm at home and share the thoughts and ideas like many of you ya'll do.

So here's to a great Future and Friendship with ya'll.

Hopefully, Someone will come across my thread and be able to guide me in the right direction.

Always,
Virgil A

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying about the way I send the picture.  I added it in the upright manner in which we'd be looking at it and thought I could work it from the bottom to the top using the graph.

What is the difference in landscape and portrait mode?

Thanks so much!

some people don't wanna be educated though all they care about is themselves sadly

We've had a few questions regarding how the subscriptions work for the Premier features.  When we set things up we kept in mind how we would like to be treated.  So here's how it all works.

First, the majority of the freePatternWizard is and will always be totally free.  And I'll continue to add new free features, enhance those already in place, and support them.  We have a list of free features coming but don't publicize them in advance.

Regarding the subscriptions, we have begin charging a nominal amount for some more enhanced features.  These features are generally those that cost us in the way of added CPU time and additional memory requirements.  To offset this we have created the Premium area.

We tried to come up with a crazy-low amount (in our opinion) to charge.  We call them introductory prices because they might go up in the future but there are no plans right now.  Again we spent a long time thinking about the best way we would like to be treated.

For now, we charge by the year.  Only $4.99 per feature for a whole year access.  We realize that some features will not be of interest.  If you're a knitter, you might not be interested in beading enhanced features.  And vice versa.  So we just went the à la carte way so you can pick those Premium features and pay $4.99 each.  BUT, we put in a cap, so at this time you'll never pay more than $19.95.  If you want every feature that's available today, next week, next month, for the entire year, you can pay $19.95 and automatically be subscribed to everything for the whole year.

On top of that, but just to be fair, if you subscribe to one or more $4.99 features today, and want to change to a subscription of all features, and do it within a month, you'll get credit for what you've already spent.

Again, the charges are not because we want to nickel and dime people, but more to cover added server expenses for adding more advanced features.

For those interested, the subscription page is here, has information about each feature, and will process your payments through PayPal.  Once payment is made, the system automatically sets you up so you immediately have access to the new feature(s) with no waiting.  You'll also get approved to post comments, questions and suggestions in the Community Premier area.

If you have questions, feel free to ask here.  Thanks, and have fun!

Terry
