New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

cwhitmore,
Welcome! Smile
C2C is on our development list, but unfortunately I don't have a date to give you for when it will be available.
I know it's tempting to use the "standard" single crochet stitch (double crochet if you're in the UK) for C2C, but unfortunately standard stitches are rectangular and not square. Depending on how large your project is, the results might not work well, so it's not recommended to use this for C2C patterns.

It looks a little complicated, but definitely worth a try and it's free!! (always a plus in my book!!! I played around just a couple of seconds and did the input and got this for the graph. Is this what you are looking for?

Is anyone good at this that can create a pattern for me???  I am on a terrible struggle bus.  I know what I want by pictures by I just cant put it together...

Sandy,

If you'd like, we can have you test some of the options we're trying to provide to make pattern printing more flexible.  If you're interested, please let me know.  Smile  We need to have people testing in order to know what they're looking for, so without someone being interested in testing, we can't change anything.

Neave,

Unfortunately, men are much too violent in general (exceptions to that, of course).  And I do believe if we women were in charge, there wouldn't be so much war.  War is terrible and  pointless, but anyone who would glorify it as "good" really should reconsider that in the light of solid facts about how bad war is for everyone.  (Well, except for those who bask in the "glory," as they're the ones who sit behind the scenes and never fight.  Those who willingly send young people to die should know exactly what those young people deal with.)
