New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hello, I am very fond of this site and use it often. However, i have never be able to check the "artwork box", instead stuck with gradual tones at all times. How do I fix this?
Debbie,
It's both good and bad...we can't figure out how we did something without actually doing it...but there is that muscle memory that takes over!
I didn't knit for a few years, then one day I picked up the needles, figuring I wasn't going to have much luck, but wouldn't you know, I remembered! Couldn't have told you what I was about to do, but managed to do it!
LOL, it's so different to do something than to explain it. It's like I was telling someone about reading knitting instructions. The instructions usually say to read everything through completely. I've tried, but can never make head or tail out of anything. But if I start working...no problem!
Hee hee, and you're right...we can be very strange creatures!

Cuddle2bears (awww! ),
Welcome!
I'm sorry to
say the freePatternWizard has no way of turning an already graphed
pattern into a written pattern. The only way is to create a pattern
with your original image and then in option #7 where it says,
"Pattern or Word Chart:" you can then choose "Word Chart
Only."
Piddy,
This is absolutely
WONDERFUL! You should be so proud of producing
something this amazing.
