New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hi. Newbie here. Is there a way to download a word chart for a picture that I am beading (Peyote stitch)?
Also having a hard time downloading pictures. Practice, practice. Thank you!
Learned something new...thanks for all the info. But I find it a bit strange since I did all the coloring myself & truly used only 4 colors. I did mainly flood fill for the areas but did have to do a bit of touch-up mainly around the stripes because there were a few areas that didn't turn out as nicely as I wanted.
I'l await the revised version and let you know. I really thank you for all the help!
Kathy
Helen,
You're so welcome!
Your stitch will be a single crochet...in the future, we'll offer double crochet, but we don't have that available at the moment.
If you want the finished dimensions of your graphghan, you'll need to make a swatch. For single crochet, do a single crochet swatch, at least 4 inches by 4 inches. When you make your swatch and block it, you'll measure to find how many stitches in your swatch, then will divide those dimensions by 4 to get the number of stitches per inch and row. So, for example, if you have a swatch that's 20 stitches by 24 rows, you'll divide both of those numbers by 4, which would give you 5 stitches by 6 rows per inch. Then you'd divide your number of stitches, in this case 30 inches by approximately 20.7 inches. Of course, you'll use your own swatch numbers, not my made up ones. But that gives you an idea of how to calculate your numbers.
Please do keep us informed of your progress!

Sehtum,
Welcome! Thank you so much for your lovely
words.
We do have a Premier subscription
area for more options! There's a 300 stitch option and a 500
stitch option; the 300 stitch option is $2.99 for a year and 500 is
$4.99 for a year.
These options (and more)
can be found here:

Hope that helps!
