New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

I saw a pattern on Pinterest made by Ashley Moran. The name of the pattern is Large Mouth Bass w/Fisherman and stitchboard is given as the location for the pattern. How do I find it? Any help would be appreciated.

Neave,

I hear you about that Aida cloth!  It used to be that there was afghan cross stitch fabric that had a large count...I forget how large, maybe 4 stitches across (?) - just know it was much easier to see.  But my guess is it's been discontinued, because I haven't seen it in forever.  Frown

If I encounter it, though, I'll let you know...that would have to be online, because there's no store locally anymore.  This area is terrible for keeping any kind of craft store open...our yarn shop closed ages ago and we lost a bead store a few years after that.  And then recently we lost a JoAnn Fabrics, which is a pretty solid chain of fabric and craft stores, so now it's about half an hour to the next one.  Of course, the cross stitch store was also half an hour away...but that one closed, too.

Thank you...that's very generous of you!  Kiss

I posted one FREE knitting book for Kindle for today...grab it before it's gone!  (Note: you do not need to have an actual Kindle.  If you have a smartphone, you can download a Kindle reader app for FREE...if all you have is a PC, you can download to your PC...and I believe there may also be a way now of completely bypassing any kind of reader app to read directly online - though please don't quote me on that, as I'm not sure.  I find the PC reader to be quite decent for pattern content...since I don't own a Kindle, I can't say how well it works...but I would think a smaller screen would make patterns kind of difficult to read.)

Sherry,

I hate to see the independents going out of business.  Cry  A friend of ours had a store and she had to go out.  She was buying the building, but business had been soooo bad, she had to stop paying, and of course, they foreclosed on her.  Cry  Her shop was so nice and unique...what a terrible thing to see it go away.  Cry

I'd like to see mom & pop stores come back, but I think it's never going to happen...at least not for the foreseeable future.  Cry

I'm so glad you and your family can pull together.  Kiss  It's so hard to go it alone these days.

Line,

Awww, love the pic!  Kiss  She looks so relaxed and happy.  Smile

I know nothing about dog shows or dog nose pigmentation, but that sounds like the dumbest reason for disqualification that I've ever heard!  Yell
