New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hi,
Until the new version is made available there are a few things you can do to help. You can try one or more of the following:
- Try to use a .GIF image with limited colors. .JPG images are compressed and cause a lot of stray pixels.
- In Section 8, turn on Stray Pixel Cleanup by checking the box and select "light", "medium", or "heavy"
- In Section 8, try turning "Color Sensitivity" up to a higher number
- In Section 5b, select the colors you want to use
- In Section 5c, give it a number of colors to use
A long-awaited version is coming that will allow final editing of the pattern before printing it out. I'm not sure yet when it'll go live but I'm working through a few more issues with it.
Let me know if this helps or not.

Hello all!
I am new to stitchboard, but not to crocheting. I've been crocheting for 42 years on and off. I learned from my grandmother, who had me in awe when she would create berets for my grandfather to wear (his favorite). I'd ask everytime she'd pick up her hook, she finally had enough of me asking and taught me. My very first project was a beret for him.
