New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

LOL, that's what I was thinking when I said a scarf can never be too long...Doctor Who! Laughing That scarf looks like so much fun. And as much as authentic is nice, I think it would be more fun in one's choice of colors. The Doctor Who scarf is one of a kind...why not make another one of a kind, rather than trying to duplicate? Kiss
Your scarf is going to be awesome! Kiss

Hi,

I'll be turning on a new version soon.  I'm at the tail end of the debugging and color issues were some of the corrections.

These especially happened in various configurations when using manual color choices.

The next version corrects about 20 various issues and adds some new things.

We're testing hundreds of configurations and hope to be done in a matter of a few more days.

I'll post a list of the updates when I turn on the next version and at that time ask everyone to let me know if they find a problem.

I want to finish these corrections and updates before turning on some new features.

Terry

Thanks Melanie,

I have to say this is my first beading tapestry I have attempted. I do like working on something more than jewelry. I still work up a little jewelry mainly for gifts in between so i don't get tired of this porject.

My friend lives in New Mexico about 500 miles from me. He hasn't seen it in person, I do send him progress pics which he loves seeing. My hopes are to get it completed by August when I take 20 days off from work. If I can get it done by then, I will hand deliver it to Jim. I have not told him my plans to do this. Won't until I know I can make it all come together  at the right time. LOL

I do have the beads on a square board that is covered with the velour stuff. I have 3 professionally made boards I bought. For this I found the square one I made from a ring holder box I bought from the craft store works best. At first the beads were in neat little piles. Now they are all mixed about in one big pile of "bead soup!" Works ok since I pick what I need as I go along. With jewelry I try to keep the piles separate and if need be I use alphabet beads to identify which color goes where.

Here is a pic of the "bead soup" beading board I'm using for the vulture project. I will keep you updated with my progress as it gets farther along. Cool

Silvertiger,

This looks amazing!  Yes, I can see the curving, but still...love your colors and how fantastic this looks!  Kiss

Okay, first, what kind of yarn are you using?  The entire question of blocking hinges on what kind of yarn that is.  Wool, alpaca, animal fibers in general, are all in need of and benefit from blocking.  Acrylic...the best thing they say to do with acrylic is to machine wash and dry it according to manufacturer instructions to even out the tension.

Cotton is something I've blocked - it blocks well.

So the main thing is to know your fiber, and that will tell you if you can and should block it.  Smile

Now, if your yarn matches the blockability test (LOL), you can pin it into the correct shape.  I'm guessing if you can block your yarn, the curving will hardly be noticeable.  Smile  But even if you're using acrylic and putting it through the wash does nothing, be assured, the piece looks lovely regardless.  And chances are people will think you did that curving on purpose.  So think of it like a bug in software...it's not a problem, it's a feature!  Wink

Welcome!  Smile

There's no specific time frame, but no worries, as I'm pushing to get it done sooner!  It's a feature people have been requesting for a long time, so it would be nice to have it available at last.  Smile

You're very welcome...glad you like the Wizard!  Smile
