New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

No worries, we do have a feature in development to customize printing. In the meantime, have you tried any of the other paper size options? Even though you're not technically printing to other sizes, it may minimize your pattern enough to give you a smaller number of pages.
Also, keep in mind that if your pattern is printing to 20 pages, printing it all on one page, if we had that option available at this time, could make it impossibly tiny to read.
Neave,
LOL, glad to see you here again! Ha ha, how about just the vodka, hold the cola?

Dskea,
Welcome!
The
freePatternWizard was originally set up to keep people from skewing
their patterns, which is the reason for the lack of a choice of the
number of rows when creating patterns. It takes the number of
stitches across and creates a suitable length pattern to best fit
with your uploaded image and chosen size.
We
do have a version where one can enter the number of rows you want
in addition to stitches; however, please keep in mind that it will
likely change the aspect ratio, so something might look "off"
because it's stretched or narrowed.
If
you're interested, we could make this option available to
you.
If not, there are other ways to keep
within the correct aspect ratio, by adding borders to fool the
freePatternWizard into creating the correct number of rows. This
unfortunately does require experimenting to get the correct size;
I've done this and it's not an exact science.
If you'd prefer to add borders and you're on a Windows
PC but you don't have a graphics program, there are two I can
suggest that are free, have been around for ages and are quite
powerful. (The only thing is, I can't tell you how to use them, as
I'm personally using - seriously - a program that was released in
1998, lol.)
Piddy,
Woo hoo, less than 100
rows is fantastic!
I'm sorry you
had to pull out a whole row...definitely feeling your frustration!
Especially when you're doing one stitch
per color...I would probably have put it in the penalty corner and
not let it out to play for a while!
Such
awesome work, though...you should be so proud!
Melissa,
Welcome! Please let us know what assistance you
need.
