New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

De'Andrea,

I LOVE your cross stitch work! Kiss Your friend is soooooooooo lucky!

The frameless "frames" are amazing and look perfect. How did you tack down the edges before fringing? I learned a stitch for that once, but have no idea what it was called and couldn't do that again without knowing what the stitch was and how to make it. But I'm thinking now, after seeing your work, that I have some pieces where the fringing would look great.  I doubt there's enough room to cross stitch frames, but maybe a 2-cross-stitch-wide "frame" would work, or just a fringing stitch. I never framed a lot of my pieces back when I made them years ago because it was so prohibitively expensive and nobody in my area knew anything about framing cross stitch. Frown

But I love that "natural" look, with the fringed edges. Kiss

The branches hanging down over the horse's head are unusual...and sooooo beautiful. Kiss They add something very special to the piece! Kiss I can see the snowflakes that are falling in front of the horse's head...they're perfect. Kiss

I also disagree with your mom about cross stitch not being creative...obviously, you've made things that are VERY creative! Kiss I think the way you've combined things is absolutely genius. Kiss

I can't wait to see what you'll do with Chinese silk embroidery...I know it's going to be fantastic! Kiss What kind of subject will you try for your first piece?

You have such a talent...you should think about desginging your own cross stitch pieces to sell. Kiss (Maybe embroidery pieces, too, but I don't know how that would work.) You're soooooooooooo talented and I can't wait to see what you'll do next. Thank you so much for posting your cross stitch work (and giving me the idea of what to do with those old unframed cross stitch pieces!). Kiss

Ok. I think i can make that work. Thank you.

I posted two FREE crochet patterns for Kindle for today...grab them before they're gone!  (Note: you do not need to have an actual Kindle.  If you have a smartphone, you can download a Kindle reader app for FREE...if all you have is a PC, you can download to your PC...and I believe there may also be a way now of completely bypassing any kind of reader app to read directly online - though please don't quote me on that, as I'm not sure.  I find the PC reader to be quite decent for pattern content...since I don't own a Kindle, I can't say how well it works...but I would think a smaller screen would make patterns kind of difficult to read.)

Terry,

Tabloid is not an option in my dropdown menu.  But I went online to a site that lists paper sizes, and they show "Tabloid" as being 11" h by 17" w, since other users have a tabloid option, can you give it to me as well?

Not sure I understand, what is the greatest number of stitches wide that the system currently supports in a printout?  And what is it's "name"?

It's great that you will be rotating many sizes in the future.

Thanks,
Janice
