New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Cali,
You're so welcome!
Joan,
Welcome!
Hopefully this will set your mind at ease. A word chart of a graph is just like any normal crochet pattern. You still need a turning chain and you still need to turn your work as you would with any other pattern. A word chart merely assumes you have prior knowledge of crochet, so it doesn't spell everything out; it's there to clarify which colors go where.
So you're not wrong...you're absolutely correct!
Raven,
Welcome!
Our Delica lists are directly from the Miyuki site. If there are changes to the descriptions that were made since we originally made our list, we can certainly and will be happy to make those changes. Differences between Miyuki's and sellers' descriptions are another issue entirely.
At one point, a bead seller did mention some sellers will arbitrarily change color descriptions for the colors they sell to names of their own choosing, so in that case, Miyuki's color names may greatly differ from sellers' color names.
HI,
Love the pattern wizzard! Is there any way to display the symbols when showing the pattern on the screen for cross stitch. I prefer to use this instead of printing out the pages but it's hard to make our colors when they are close to the same shade.
Thanks!
Astrid,
Please let me know what problem you're having with adding pics to a comment...is that here in the Community, or elsewhere?
