New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Hi ,just joined, from Australia .
Looking forward to gaining some expert tips from everyone, site looks amazing. I'm new to crocheting and hoping to get some inspiration to attempt my very 1st graphgan! I've 11 grand babies and a couple of the boys, master 7 yr olds have already given me their orders !😂😂😂😂❤️

would you start with your foundation ch. the reverse sc row 1 from left to right then alternate regular sc right to left and reverse sc left to right on the rows?

Line,

I can't imagine...I would be so bereft without our kitty.  Cry  I'm glad you can keep your dog, though.

It's good that you found your cat a lovely home.  I once gave away the sweetest kitty...she was a stray...we didn't have the room and couldn't keep her.  I asked for a promise of visitation rights, and was told it was okay...but then I received no further info and nobody ever returned my calls, so I knew I'd never see her again.  Cry  It broke my heart.  I wouldn't change a thing I did back then, but I loved that sweet little girl.  Cry

It's hard to let go of someone you love so much, but when their life completely lacks quality, of course, it's something no one would wish on them to keep going in pain.  The selfish part says, "I want them here!" and the unselfish part realizes it's not the best thing for them.  And the worst part is the whole thing completely sucks.  Cry  Selfish, unselfish, it's the worst.  Cry

Sending good thoughts about your exams.  Kiss  I'm sure you'll do well...you're so smart!  Kiss  Also, does it help you to calm down if you think about the move and your wedding?

I keep meaning to mention that some friends of ours got a dog...a gorgeous boy...a husky.  I feel I have to tell them the reason they're having a lot of trouble with him is because he probably doesn't feel challenged!  I have a feeling they didn't know what they were in for when they chose a husky.  Cry

Sherry,

Wow, if I didn't know better, I'd say that was knit, not crocheted!  Kiss  It looks amazingKiss  You've got to write up a pattern for this one!  It's so close to the wavy cables that are found in knitting.  Is this difficult to make?  Would you consider it okay for a beginner, or is it more of an intermediate thing?

Love the color, too...deep red is soooooooo nice!  Kiss  This looks like a hat I would wear after making.  I wear a hat now, with the cold weather, but it's just a store-bought thing (not knit or crocheted) and I really don't like it all that much.  I don't like hats in general, so for something to look that nice, it has to be spectacular!  Kiss

Love!  Kiss

I posted one FREE knitting book for Kindle for today...grab it before it's gone!  (Note: you do not need to have an actual Kindle.  If you have a smartphone, you can download a Kindle reader app for FREE...if all you have is a PC, you can download to your PC...and I believe there may also be a way now of completely bypassing any kind of reader app to read directly online - though please don't quote me on that, as I'm not sure.  I find the PC reader to be quite decent for pattern content...since I don't own a Kindle, I can't say how well it works...but I would think a smaller screen would make patterns kind of difficult to read.)
