New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hi! I'm new to stitchboard so please bare with me. I've been looking around trying to find the answers I need. Something just isn't clicking .
For example... I did a single crochet swatch that was 9 inches wide. My gauge measured 5 sts per inch. If I want to add a picture that fits within these measurements, how would I go about doing that ? I also chained 40 to start ( not sure if you need to know that)
I see conversations referring to "Aida stitch count" but I'm not sure what that is ...
Once I understand , I feel stitchboard could be a game changer with the items I could create so I'm anxious to learn.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, and welcome!
When you say some colors are off, do you mean wrong shades? Or is it introducing gray when it shouldn't be there? The gray issue will be fixed in the next version of software and usually only happens when an image doesn't have black or white. Again, this will be fixed soon.
You may also manually select colors in section 5b and see if that helps.
Let me know a bit more and I'll try to help.
Terry
Cali,
Welcome!
Thanks...we'll gladly consider adding 10/0 Delicas! I definitely agree about larger beads...sometimes the smaller beads can be soooo hard to see!
Neave,
Priceless! That's the kind of thing where you wish you could be a fly on the wall, just to hear the reaction.
Melanie,
In Denmark a lot of the induction plates comes with a 10-15 year warranty - so I'm not concerned about it.. In 15 years there will be some new cool stuff I guess..
We will properly change the hot plates whe we change the countertop.. :p It's was easier doing it that way..
At some point we would like the bathrooms bigger than they are now.. The small one next to the bathroom will be expanded out to the 'bryggers' where our washing machine and dryer is.. We just need to tear down a wall, and wet seal it and that's it.. Thomas is talking about getting rid of our carport, and then place the driveway in another place, like the back of our house.. But then he will not have his big bathroom.. He will have to make a decision on that.. I really don't care where our driveway is.. :p But if he got rid of the carport, then I could get an extra room if we wanted to build one.. And voila: YARN ROOOM
- And YES.. Dream stash.. All kinds of fiber, in all kinds of colours.. That's a need to have room, and my nail stuff could get a small corner in the room.. Dogs not allowed..
Would love to see a floorplan of your house.. It would be neat..
