Sherry,
You're welcome, hon!
If it's far lighter than sport, of course, I'd expect it to take longer...sigh.
The drawbacks of an otherwise nice yarn!
I can understand why you'd have trouble with the sport weight and Tunisian knit. Tunisian is really meant more for a hardier, sturdier yarn, not a lighter one. But who knows...you may be surprised!
Worth a try.

Melanie,
I prefer the lighter yarns for tunisian knit, the heavier ones create a stiffer fabric that I certainly wouldn't care for in a garment.
Sure, it does take a lot longer. But I do prefer it.

Sherry,
Oh, true, yarns starting from about worsted on up are woefully bad for Tunisian...such a disappointment.
But the lighter yarns make the fabric less coarse.
Hey, it gives good results, so of course I can see why you'd prefer it!
I mostly like the lighter yarns for doll clothing for the smaller dolls. Worsted and chunky weights are better suited for larger dolls.
