bead colors

Hey guys, I have a question. I created a pattern and printed it..it turned out wonderful! My question is this..I assume the legend under the pattern is for the types of Miyuki seed beads I would need and the number below each is the quantity. Is this correct....my problem is that I'm having problems finding the beads as most of the sites I generally buy from use their own lot numbers and not Miyuki's. Can anyone tell me where to find the beads using these numbers...I've tried BeadFusion and several other sites with no luck.
Thanks for any suggestions. BTW, I love this site!

Hi!  Welcome, and very glad you like the site!

Your question is an excellent one.  I apologize that it took so long to respond...I did a little research and this is what I found.  Most bead stores don't stock all colors, but some change the numbers to their own.  Some don't.  (This is different with Delicas, of course, because Delicas are known by standard numbers.  Seed beads aren't.)  Also, I don't know offhand of anyone who stocks every Miyuki seed bead color.  That said, I do have some alternatives for you.  Smiley

First, Cindy of Cindy's Crafts...yes, she carries Miyuki seed beads and she doesn't change the color numbers.  Her site is here:
http://beadlady.biz/
Here's a store that also does mail order and doesn't change the Miyuki seed bead color numbers:
http://www.bodaciousbeadschicago.com/
Caravan Beads also is supposed to have a wide variety of Miyuki seed bead colors.  They say they offer the entire Delica line, but I don't know if that also follows for the seed beads:

Heather,

Thank you for posting another resource.  I think, though, that the store is no longer there, as that link now goes to a cybersquatter.  Sad  But if you find any other great places for buying beads, please do post them here!  I find one can never be too rich, too thin...or have too many beads!  Grin

Heather,

Thank you so much for posting the correct link!  Smiley  It's always welcome to have another great resource for beads, especially Delicas.  Sometimes you just need a certain color, and not many stores stock all of the colors anymore, sadly, even some of the stores that did before.  Especially if you're trying to follow a pattern from a book, groan!

It's also wonderful to hear about service, prices and quality.  Those are very important things to know when placing an order!
