Here's some great eye candy...yummy, yummy!  Grin

I love these color combos, and the bold designs are incredible, too!  Smiley  My favorite is the Monterey Zip Sweater.  I also like the Zanzibar Nomad Scarf.  And the Rhapsody Gaitors!  (I'm guessing these are the same as cowls?)

Thank you for sharing.  They're beautiful.  Wouldn't it be nice to get those prices for our goods too! ;-)

Charlene,

It sure would be nice to demand such great prices!  I remember the sweater set (cardi & long-sleeved pullover) a former co-worker was thinking about having me knit for her daughter.  It turned out that she was willing to pay $20 per piece (beyond materials costs), and this wasn't for an infant!

I didn't end up making the item.  Her argument was that she could go out and buy handmade sweaters from any street vendor (this was in Manhattan) for $10 apiece, so $20 was twice that and seemingly very generous to someone who didn't know how long handknit items took to make.  I couldn't compete.  Of course, these were probably items that had "fallen off a truck," so I could compete even less!

The world of handmade items is crazy.  Sadly, in order to sell and do well enough to survive, one either has to have a really good market (like a friend of mine from back then, who worked in the executive offices of the same company and had a virtually unlimited market of people willing to pay her what her work was worth) or some special niche/product nobody else offers.  (Or both!)

Melanie, I keep making things for people around home.  I just finished another shrug for a friend.  Until I have skills that would allow me to ask proper prices, I'm "volunteering" my friends to be walking bill boards for me.  I've tried a couple of stores (the latest hasn't responded yet) but since I love my machines and they're quick, I have hope. Charlene,

That's an ingenious idea, to have your friends "advertise" for you that way!  Smiley

I hope you get good responses from the stores.  Are these stores where you would sell on consignment?
