New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Thank you so much! (I agree, free is always a plus!)
Any update on the C2C words for the graphs we make? Would be so helpful. Thank you!
Maryann,
We actually don't recommend using the Stitchboard Full Palette for yarn colors. The reason is because yarn manufacturers only make very limited numbers of colors. The Full Palette will be impossible to match to one manufacturer and type of fiber; as you know, another manufacturer may have a thinner worsted than another and you certainly don't want a project to be half wool, half acrylic!
I know the patterns look better with the Full Palette, but we actually suggest using the Stitchboard Basic Palette. With the Basic Palette you'll have a far better chance of finding generic colors that you can match to manufacturer colors.
Unfortunately, yarn manufacturers will probably never make hundreds of colors, because most of them would never sell, so they stick with the colors they believe will sell.
My name is Angelique,i'm 29 and just started about 4 months ago with cross stitch embroidery. Oh and i'm Dutch and disabled haha. Before I embroided I made cards (sometimes also embroided),jewelery and painting. I also like to cook .. and got a guineapig named Vlekkie (well in English it will be Spot I guess .. he got spots XD) I'm still learning embroidery, and so I still make mistakes .. but will be fine in the future XD

Secoya,
Exactly! Really, all anyone is seeing when they
look at your work is a gorgeous work of art. And I'm sure an expert would overlook
the same things as inexperienced stitchers do. Nobody looks at a piece trying to find
the errors. They want to see the finished art!
Oh, no, working
on art messed with your poor brother?
It keeps me sane,
for sure, so why mess with that good formula?
Thank you so much! (I agree, free is always a plus!)
