New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Neave,
LOL, same here...though usually I'm glad it didn't. But sometimes...
Neave,
Not surprising, but how awful! They could have shown at least some concern...I would think they could have given you a supportive call when you were feeling up to it as you were recovering. What horrible siblings.
Gail,
You've been upgraded to 300 stitches wide.
Roadmama (cool name!),
The upgrade I can do for you is 300 stitches wide. I don't remember how many rows there are; however, I believe you may be confusing the 300 stitches with 500 stitches wide/1000 rows tall, which is a premier feature. I'll upgrade you to the 300 stitches (done!), but if you want the 500 stitches, you'll have to go here for that feature:

No Michaels unless I drive 111 miles. Even WalMart don't carry supplies here. I hate it. I like cats too just always forget everything I like. I like tigers too. I am trying to make a wishlist on Heaven and Earth Designs but there's so many I like. I only have started the one project and haven't got much done on it because of my health. There's so much smoke around me from the fires that I am having a lot of breathing problems cause I have asthma, COPD, and emphysema and high blood pressure and other health issues but the smoke is affecting these ones pretty bad. I am brand new to stitching. I don't have much supplies and that makes it tough with no stores nearby to get stuff when it's on sale sadly. I am enjoying chatting with you. Hope to hear back from you.
Melanie,
You're so right, the Pipsqueak was heavenly to work with.
The skeins are 3 1/2 oz. and each stripe is one ball (keep it simple). I bought an extra ball of the brown to do the edge, hat and booties. I still have at least half of that ball, so I may need to make various sizes of booties.
Yes, the crocodile blanket is done in Simply Soft. The pattern calls for Softee Baby, but you know I have trouble seeing the size 3 yarns, so this was my substitute. Unfortunately it was not a good idea for this pattern, the blanket is actually quite heavy. Unless it changes when washed, it's probably just going to be packed away as a keepsake.
It also requires a lot of yarn to make that crocodile blanket, 42oz. to make 35"x 35".
The Pipsqueak blanket is 36"x 48", I bought 21 oz. and had plenty left over to make other things.
So now my DIL's sister wants a crocodile baby blanket. I may try it with a different yarn, now I'm thinking that if I use a larger hook and something like RH Soft, maybe I can use less yarn and make it less heavy.
