New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Veronica,
That looks absolutely amazing! Kiss
It will surely be a greatly treasured gift. Kiss
That's quite a bit of stitching, too. How long has that taken you thus far? Cross stitch takes a long time for the tiniest areas, but soooo well worth the results. Are you planning on framing it when it's done?
Thank you for sharing and if you wouldn't mind, it would be lovely to follow your progress! Kiss

Great question...would love to hear what people are using for their graphghans!  Smile

Nicky,

Hee hee!  Try to think of it this way...it could be a lot worse...she could like some really annoying music.  Sometimes my husband will bring up a tune he knows I hate...and it gets stuck in my head.  But that's okay...I usually sing the Smurf's theme song, and he cuts that crap out immediately!  Laughing  Must write a book, "How to Annoy Your Spouse When Your Spouse is Annoying You."  Wink

Looking forward to "seeing" Neave return!  Kiss

Line,

That sounds crazy, to have two ceramic hot plates and two gas!  And if you can't fit pots on it, then it's a fail, IMO.  I see why you want to change it!

Induction is cool.  Kiss  We did discuss it but ultimately opted for gas because the problem with induction is that if one element goes out, you have to scrap the entire cooktop.  Unless that's changed!  Anyway, we also didn't want to buy all new cookware, and we got a really good deal on the stove we bought.  Smile  It has a lot of features hubby likes to use.

Oooh, granite!  Kiss  So jealous.  Ours is laminate...it's in bad shape, so we'll ultimately have to replace it, but for now it stays because of a cracked floor joist, which keeps us from moving the stove to where it's ultimately going, so the counter space will be very different.  It doesn't pay to redo the countertops twice.

I love the large living room/kitchen like that!  Kiss  Jealous again.  Our living room isn't terrible, but because it used to be a dining room, it's not very roomy.  And I may have mentioned the kitchen, which has few countertops, so it's not close to a dream kitchen, sigh.  Actually, the house was pretty messed up for years, according to the neighbor, so it's not really surprising that the kitchen and living room are a bit small.

I'll see if we have some kind of floor plan to show you, but am guessing we don't.

Hee hee, knew you'd be drooling!  Kiss  Is that a dream stash or what?!

Hi ladies...I'm trying to find a pattern to make a graphgan of the movie "Up". I would like to just have the house and balloons and the quote "Adventure is out there". I dont mind paying for the pattern. I've tried to make a graph myself but it didn't turn out the way I wanted it. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!
