New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hello! I am new and worked out some on my issues on my own but I am stuck
Is there a way to see what the pattern I created will look like on fabric?
What I mean is like when you buy a premade cross stitch kit, the cover shows a pocture of the completed work, usually in a frame or hoop.
I am trying to find a way to create that image. I know how to do mock ups, I just need the actual image.
THANKS!!!
Why can't I click the artwork box?
Hi!
I'm trying to create a crochet pattern by using the Free Pattern Wizard. The problem is: I have chosen the option "standard" as my stitch type because my plan is to use the very basic single crochet stitch.
The result is that the boxes marking each stitch seem much wider and shorter than the actual result when using single crochet stitch. What is the right option for me?
Thank you so much for your help!

Guamlite,
Welcome!
It's more
complex than that. If you want your blanket to measure to a certain
size, you'll first have to do a gauge swatch with the yarn and size
hook you've chosen. This gauge swatch (no worries...just about
everyone hates making them) will tell you how many stitches and
rows you get to an inch. Then you can use that information to
calculate out the number of stitches you'll need to make the
blanket the size you want. Since everyone's gauge is different and
there are different sizes of yarn and hooks you may choose, these
numbers will be unique to you. This is why I can't do a gauge swatch
and give you solid numbers, because I may crochet tighter or looser
than you do, so my numbers would be completely different from your
numbers, even if I used exactly the same yarn and hook.
Once you've made a gauge swatch, you can then input the
number of stitches. Say you've discovered you need 100 stitches to
produce a certain size. You'd enter "100" and then the system will
calculate out the number of rows. At this time you can't designate
the number of rows. That's because when we originally developed the
freePatternWizard, we were worried people would skew or truncate
their patterns by designating a number of rows that was too large
or small. So for now, the only way to add or subtract rows is to
add borders to your original image so you get the result you
want.

I love your site and would like to ask your members if they have ever come across a pattern for tunisian entrelac crochet. I have seen the patterns on line and in books; however, I am looking for a crochet pattern tunisian entrelac that looks the same as the knitted tunisian entrelac pattern. Been searching for years with no luck. Anybody Help! Thank You
