New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hello. Totally new to stitchboard, and love the possiblities that come with this graph generator. I just wondered if someone might be able to clarify for me please... the stitch required when doing a crocheted afgan would be single crochet stitch, yeah?
I also wondered if you could clarify for me also, that the 'count' on the generated colour palette refers to how many stitches of that particular colour, yeah?
I am pretty sure that the answers to both question as yes, but really want to make sure before I go and start on my design. I look forward to any and all replies.
Thanks kindly
Distantxdream,
I'm not certain that your error 500 was caused by the problem I just fixed. Please let me know if you still get the error and possibly what you were trying to do at the time.
Thanks.
Terry
Thanks Melanie,
To tell the truth I can't exactly remember how I stitched the edges of the two pieces to keep it from unraveling. I'm thinking I did small tufts of fringe together and did a whip stitch in the off white color of the material between the tufts. It was 16 yrs ago, I did it all by hand with needle and thread, no machine stitching since I was on the truck. Personally I hate to sew by machine even for a simple repair of a seam in clothing. I wished I could see the edges better and then it would come to me. These photos are all I have of the work. If I remember at some point I will let you know, sorry my memory is not so good anymore. I've never used a professional framer before. On the few I did put in a frame & it was not many I did the work myself. And I am by no way a professional at framing anything! I read your post about framing your own pieces and thought back to when I did that too.
I'm going to attemp a couple of Koi fish and a lotus blossom or 2 to add background for my 1st Chinese slik embroidery. I'm thinking about working with my satin thread to practice on something first before I use the silk once it gets here. I figured that way I won't waste the silk if I make an awful mess until I learn how to create a decent piece.
Oh I don't think I am anywhere near ready to create my own patterns yet. I have created a few of my own beading patterns for my use and on one of the beading groups on Facebook I belong to I added the pdf file for anyone to use if they so desired. Some said they would make something from them, but so far I have not heard or seen anything come of it. I didn't think they would, but it is fine as they are still my creations either way.
Melanie,
Sorry that they smell like mold..
But try vinegar... I hope it works..
If I'm able to visit you someday, I will bring you a lot of danish stuff (lot's of rodalon).. :p And yarn - in pretty colors..
Let me see if I can find pink legos.. I'm sure they still make them Gold and silver ones too..
I'll send them for you if I find them..
Just had the most frustrating discussion with the asshat yesterday.. I have never cried so much over him than I did yesterday.. F****** asshat..
Anyhow.. My oldest (whose birthday is on the 11th this month), wants to have a pirate themed birthday party... He tells me this, 9 days before we are actually going to celebrate him.. :p LOL.. Talk about stress.. Furthermore, he only have three (3!!!!!) whishes.. Gotta be creative.. He want's a new knitted sweater (no chance in hell that is going to happen in such short time), he wants lego ninjagos.. And something I'm not even sure exists.. :p LOL
I was thinking about making some straws with skulls on.. Some flags, and some other small stuff to use as decorations.. My mother is making a treasure map, so they (Marcus, his littlebrother and the best friend in the whole wide world) are going tresure hunting.. I feel like I am waaaaay behind..
I'm thinking about making a treasure chest of some kind og candy in it.. Gotta be carefull though.. The bestie has diabetes (only 6 years old )..
They will get foam swords, pirate hats, eye patches etc etc etc.
BTW - what's up with the forum? It's soooo slow when loading.. I don't know if it's only happening here..
Hugs..

Candice,
Welcome!
Thanks for such
fantastic advice! Pricing is such a bear...nobody wants
to overprice or underprice. And I like the idea of having lower
priced items so people will have a choice.
Thanks Melanie,
