New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hi
I am new to this site. My name is Lori & I'm from Columbus, Ohio. I love to crochet & have been crocheting for a very long time.
I blog about crocheting and other crafting things and I think a lot of my readers would enjoy stitchboard because the free pattern wizard really is the best online program that I've found. Is it okay if I make a simple tutorial to walk my readers through creating their own charts, step by step?
Terry,
Tabloid is not an option in my dropdown menu. But I went online to a site that lists paper sizes, and they show "Tabloid" as being 11" h by 17" w, since other users have a tabloid option, can you give it to me as well?
Not sure I understand, what is the greatest number of stitches wide that the system currently supports in a printout? And what is it's "name"?
It's great that you will be rotating many sizes in the future.
Thanks,
Janice
Glad to hear this will be useful. This feature has been on my list for a long time.
We've been discussing member features at great length and want to give everyone the biggest bang for the buck... Oh, yeah... there's no "buck". It's free and will always be free!
Anyway, we want to take advantage of pretty much unlimited storage and want to offer members as many customized features as possible. Like I mentioned in one of my previous messages, as time goes it'll be more and more clear that everyone will benefit to mecoming a member.
The membership is free and as I told someone who asked if we spam everyone via email, since we went live over 12 years ago, we've never sent a single unsolicited email. We're computer users just like you and have the same privacy and spam concerns so we're very sensitive to how we handle everything we do with the site!
Anyway, I'm always asking people to suggest things and come up with what they'd like to see in the program. I'm just trying not to have my to-do list get up to two hundred items!
Have fun!
Terry

Myslyn,
Hi, I apologize for the
misunderstanding...the freePatternWizard actually doesn't create
garment patterns. What it does is takes your photos or artwork
that's in digital form and turns them into grids for use for
graphghans and such. Unfortunately, I don't know of any software
currently available that will make patterns for
garments.
