New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

my name is Sherry and will change the screen name ASAP, I set this up for my son but I am going to make him his own page soon!

I am trying to make a pattern. I am a member and have never had a problem before. When i finish all my selections I'm getting the Error 500. Am I doing something wrong? I have made many patterns here and love the site. I'm using crochet. 80 stitches across. Letting the program select the colors. I was trying to use the darkness and sharpness setting and stray pixel cleanup. Also using a jpg file.

Welcome!  Smile

Since you're a beginner, my suggestion is to start with something very small and simple.  Probably the biggest mistake beginners make when trying anything new (myself included Embarassed) is to start with something too large and complex.  I did this with bead crochet.  While I'm in no way a beginning crocheter, I couldn't handle the beads in addition to thread and crochet hook, and it wasn't until I stepped back and used large pony beads and regular yarn that it fell into place.  So this is why I say to start smaller, and as for simple, you don't want to lose detail in your design.

Once you feel ready to tackle a full graphghan, once you choose the image you'd like to use, go to the top menu here and choose patterns/create a pattern.  From there you can follow the prompts to upload your image, set the various options and create your pattern.  Smile

Line,

I'm so jealous!  Last I'd heard was not to use real wool in a washer, even with a wool setting, now I know it's fine...thank you!  Kiss  It may be a while before I get one of those...we simply won't get rid of a washer that's perfectly functional, sigh.  But I can dream!  Wink

Oooh, love that about your tent sweater!  What a fantastic idea...after all, I imagine nobody ever sees it, other than your family!  It must be sooooooooooooo nice and warm.  Kiss

Who cares what it looks like?  Kiss  Warmth and comfort are key!

Oh, no!  Cry  Do you think your mother told you it was superwash knowing you'd put it through the regular washer cycle?  If so, that's very mean.  Cry

I'd be upset, too.  Cry  It's not your fault...how were you to know, but frustrating nonetheless!  Cry  Of course, I wouldn't want to give it to someone for a doll, either.  Cry  It would be heartbreaking.

Awwwww, that must be nice, to spend time with the dogs in the morning.  Kiss

Hugs!

Astrid,

Love all of it!  Kiss  The texture on your FIL's scarf is wonderful!  Also love the camera strap cozy.  What a fantastic idea, to take a purchased camera strap, which would be plenty strong, and add a cozy, which makes it attractive!  Kiss  And excellent progress on your blanket.  Kiss  You say 13 rows now, but you know, that will fly by and before you know it, you'll be over halfway done!  Kiss

Lucky for us, we've had a slight reprieve from the cold...it went from blustery and too cold to seasonably warm.  But that won't last very long.  LOL, I'm not a fan of winter, and frankly, I find s-n-o-w to be the most offensive four letter word of all!  Laughing

Hope your weather doesn't get super cold.  Smile
