New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

I'm trying to make an 18x18 pillow and I'm unsure how many stitches to use. Anyone have any suggestions?
Hi I'm a newbie here. I just wanted to introduce myself, I am a self taught beader, and love it at the age of 54. Your never to young to learn, lol.
I wondered if any of you have done flatwork bead crochet as I would like to know the best way of doing it. Any advice would be gratefully received
Thank you! I'll be watching 😁
You're very welcome! Glad you've found the way you want to do this.
George,
Welcome!
If you have a good image of an American flag, you could try putting it through the freePatternWizard. The formats of gif and png are best for this, jpg is not generally recommended, since the colors don't tend to stay "true," as they can get smudgy and give undesired results.
If you don't want to graph the pattern, perhaps you can get one for free...I do know Lion Brand has a freebie, but I have to warn you, the stars are sewn on:

I haven't seen anything in searches that doesn't have sewn on stars.
