New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Hello! I'm Candace and newly introduced to the world of embroidery and cross-stitch.

This platform is great, thanks for all of the cool features and info.

Does a 'cross stitch' glossary exist? A jargon guide of some sort would be really helpful Laughing

Thank you

Kathy,

As this is a technical issue (I can tell you all about crochet, but not computer programming!) I've alerted Terry (Support) to your issue.

What I do know is there's a known problem with stray colors that will be fixed in the next build; beyond that, I don't have the expertise to answer your question, which is why I've forwarded it to Terry. Smile

Hi.

While we're still working on testing and debugging a new version of the program, I've begun updating a bunch (technical term) of internal settings and configurations which will make everyting run smoother.

While I'll try to be careful, over the next few days you may see a temporary glitch in something.  I don't expect anything to affect the operation of the freePatternWizard.

Some of the changes affect things site-wide and you may have to do small things like retrain your browser if it saves your password.

We're bringing the site much more up-to-date and usability will eventually be easier on mobile devices.

We're also working on some new things which will be bringing a lot of new people to the site so I'll probably be upgrading the hardware again soon.  And we're prepared to continue upgrading the hardware as necessary.

Once all these updates are finished, we'll work to complete our testing of the new software so we can begin turning on new features.

As usual, have fun!  There's lots more to come!

Terry

I posted two FREE jewelry making books for Kindle for today...grab them before they're gone!  (Note: you do not need to have an actual Kindle.  If you have a smartphone, you can download a Kindle reader app for FREE...if all you have is a PC, you can download to your PC...and I believe there may also be a way now of completely bypassing any kind of reader app to read directly online - though please don't quote me on that, as I'm not sure.  I find the PC reader to be quite decent for pattern content...since I don't own a Kindle, I can't say how well it works...but I would think a smaller screen would make patterns kind of difficult to read.)

Hello Everyone

I am new here.  My name is Kelley and I am a cross stitcher.  I am in the process of designing my newest grandbabys birth announcement.

I have 5 kids (all grown), 1 husband (not sure he is all grown yet), grandbaby #10 is due in October (a girl), 2 dogs, and 1 cat.  At the present time it is just me and hubby and the three furbabies living at home but that is subject to change since the kids keep coming home and then leaving again, lol.

If anyone knows where I can get a backstitch alphabet pattern that is in cursive, please let me know.  I need something a little elegant but not so elegant that you can't read it, lol.

Glad to be here and hope to get to know you all.

Kelley
