New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hello Everyone, my name is Nataie and I'm looking for patterns for my husband that I can upload pictures to turn into patterns for him. He does Rosette Patterns moslty and I didn't see that as an option for creating a pattern. Any suggetions?
Hi Melanie, haven't been on in a long time. Just too many things and not enough time to enjoy any of it. I am still working on the vulture tapestry, about 6 inches left to finish the loomed part. Then the "real work" will begin tucking in all the 311 warp threads and attaching the vulture permanantly to the bottom right corner. And deciding how I will attach it to the Mesquite limb I have waiting for it to hang. And of course getting it to its new forever home.
Here'a the newest pic of what I have gotten done since the photo I added last year. I can only get about 4 lines of beading done to it in a day of beading since it takes me 1 1/2 to 2 hrs to pick up and lock down each line of beads. I measured how many lines in an inch and it comes out to 13. You can see I have made progress since last year's pic. I did take a couple of months or so off from working on it through the Christmas holidays so i could bead a few gifts for friends locally and online. It was a nice break in working on this big rascal.
Sooo, given I am not a mathematician and not sure of the correctness I figured it out to be 221 lines of 310 beads for a total of 68,510 11/0 seed beads for the loomed background when finished and will be 20" wide by 17" high. When I look at that total of beads it will be I can see why it has taken me well over a year to get this far. And that bead count does not include the vulture which is done in 11/0 Delicas peyote stitch and hard to get an exact count due to it being a freeform shap. Needless to say I ahve not attempted to get a bead count on it yet. LOL
Hi. I am trying to upload a pic for a graphgan of a white tiger worked with Tunisian crochet. However am having problems with the stitch wizard program as it will not upload my pic that is under 5mb. Any help provided will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Everyone,
I'm new to the
group, and was trying to convert a black, and grey image into a
graph for crocheting. Every time I upload the image it comes out
missing parts of the image. I've resized it in Adobe Illustrator,
saved the PNG as a JPEG, GIF,, not to sure what else to do. - I've
read through a lot of the other comments/questions. Any advice on
this would be great. ( It's a Magic the Gathering lands
image/skull, I'm making a beanie for my son
Thanks,
Kate
Nancy,
Welcome!
So glad you
found us...and what a lovely memento this will be for your husband.
Losing a furbaby is SO painful and it
helps very much to have ways of remembering them.
Regarding the
white, I know there's been an issue, so I'll alert Terry (Support)
to your message.
I do hope you'll post
photos of your work...not just once you're working on this
particular project, but also anything you've made that you'd like
to share...we love to drool!
