New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

hello everyone, I'm Mary, new to this site. I'm wanting to make a pillow (18x18). . im doing this in single crochet. 60 sc across.....70 rows high. I have a photo to use but need to turn it into a graph to use but can't figure out how to do this to fit on the pillow. . Anyone can help....please!
Welcome!
Hi tandykins,
That issue with .jpgs was my first idea. One question I do have is how you created the .gif and .png images. By loading a .jpg and saving it as a .gif or .png still leaves in the "noise".
The first thing I do to look for a possible cause is to use a paint program and enlarge the image a lot. Often you can see other colors in what should be black lines. I've even seen black and white images with a lot of colors that show up when they're enlarged.
I'm willing to look at your original image (if you don't mind) and see if I can see a cause. I could then also run it through the program and see what results I get.
If you don't mind sending me an image with which you're having problems, let me know and I'll send you an email. You can then reply and attach your image.
I also have some testing to do for two other users. I'll be finishing up two projects over the next few days and will be back to testing and updating.
So let me know if it's ok for me to look at your image with the program and I'll see what's causing this.
Terry
Sherry,
That's brilliant. I'm so jealous. Gorgeous!
Neave,
Absolutely. It's so disparaging. There's no such thing as doing something for the greater good by those who are "haves" as opposed to "have nots." It's all about whatever they want and then find excuses for why it's okay.

Teacup,
Welcome!
What a great
name! (We call our cat Little Teacup
sometimes, because we keep teacups with water around for her to
drink from. It tastes much better that way! )
Glad you found
us! Feel free to post pictures of your work so we can drool.
Ooh, Canada!
I've been there and love it! It's such an amazing place.
Jealous...I'd love to live there!
