New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

That is gorgeous!
Hi cwcoup, what a lovely memorial to your friend.
As for what yarn is best, it really comes down to your preferences. I like the Caron One Pound even though it has fewer colors.
I have used the Deborah Norville, and though I love the softness and the quality, I find that it doesn't work well when weaving all those ends because of the smoothness of it.
I imagine that Simply Soft would be difficult to keep the tails hidden, too.
I haven't used the Red Heart for a graphgan, but a lot of people in my crochet group do.
The Herrschners is a tad bit thinner than Red Heart, but it does have a lot of colors and is a bit less expensive.
So there's my two cents, hope there is some info that helps you decide.
Indeed a pattern for a good classic camouflage. I can't seem to find a good one or make one that looks good. Any suggestions on where or how to get a good one? It's for a bit lighter ( cover)
Thanks
Pieter,
Welcome!
We've been discussing the idea of creating an Excel spreadsheet, so it's a very good possibility we'll offer that sometime in the future. Currently we have a list of over 100 features, and we do move up the more requested ones in priority. I'm sorry I can't offer a time frame, but as you can see, we have a lot of features planned!
If you'd like to test it for us if and when it becomes a possibility, we'd be happy to add you to our list...please let us know.
