New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hello very nice site, thank you very much.
I'm emroidering. What should I do to create a cross-stich pattern with pictures larger than 150 stiches?
Kind regards
I have been looking for a pattern for an Alabama crochet blanket. I would like to create one of my own. Is the pattern wizard easy? I live in Tennessee but so close to the Alabama state line that we shop there a lot. I hope to learn a lot here and have fun.
Hi, I'm looking for a crochet tiger silhouette pattern for a lapghan. Any suggestions.
Ann,
Welcome!
I'm so sorry for your loss...furchildren are so precious.
The good news is that you can use the freePatternWizard with an Android tablet. The conversion work is actually done on our server, so you don't have to install anything on your tablet to make your pattern.
There are some special effects available (e.g., brightness, contrast adjustments, etc), though for now image manipulation like cropping should be done beforehand (these are features that are currently in development and are not yet available). I'm unfamiliar with apps that are available for this purpose, but I'm sure there are some good options, so if you do a search and read the reviews, that should help you to find an app that can be used if you need to manipulate your image.
Debbie,
You're right, it really doesn't look terribly difficult...I think the main thing is that I'm not sure of the size of the Apple Pie Knitter, to get a similar sized knitted tube. I don't really remember how many of the posts there were or how wide the loom was. My friend has a book on making looms, and from the sound of it, a tin can and some nails taped to the can would suffice, but again, I'm not sure of the sizing. So perhaps the best thing to do would be to try different sizes of cans until something makes a correct sized tube. LOL, hopefully!
