New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hi, thank you for letting me join. I love crocheting as it helps me relax especially the undoing of a couple of hours work! I've taught myself from online videos as I'm left handed and only been doing this for a couple of years. I live in Norfolk, UK. Tomorrow evening I'm going to my first meeting of the Dereham Crafters, I just hope they don't throw me out for now being good enough, lol. Take care xx
I'm new here, so I'm not sure if this is allowed - please delete if it isn't!!
I've just generated a pattern with the generator (so cool!) but I'm struggling with fair isle knitting. I'm trying to make a scarf in 3 colors but I'm getting a lot of bunching and can't get it all to lie flat. I feel like I'm most successful holding two colors continental and the third, less used color, in my right hand, but it's still happening. Hints? Good videos to watch? Help!!!
Thank you for fixing it. I too realize the difficulty in getting the correct value/color on screens versus the beads. Then there are all the different finishes as well. This is my first pattern I'm using this way. If you have any suggestions on how to get the best color out of a pattern, I'm all for learning. Without owning all the colors, I didn't think I'd do the best job selecting the colors myself, but I may give that a try also. Thank you
what is the best way to keep the back side looking neat while switching back and forth between colors? I have never learned how to carry colors through the work as you switch back and forth. Do you have a tutorial you would suggest? I love your pattern wizard and really appreciate your hard work and support!! Thank you!
Chris
