New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Neave,
I agree...that's very rude! At least say thank you for helping out. Some people...ugh! No manners whatsoever.
The pattern turned out wonderfully...bet she couldn't do half as good of a job!
Nicky,
Ha ha...before I give an obscure reference, I have to explain that my husband kills flies with rubber bands. Not kidding. So perhaps Neave was merely trying to kill a fly that had landed on your head.
Seriously, I hope she's better soon, too.
I've notice we have a grey scale but is there any way to add a brown scale to the list of choices we can choose from? Is there a way to create one from the color grid, not sure what colors it would take to do a proper brown scale will have to check on that but the photos I've made graphs from are nice but would like them in a brown scale instead of grey.
Melanie,
Yes I do.
I ordered the L hook from Herrschnerr's, I've not seen it at the big box stores.
Now that I think about it, I saw the P and Q hooks at the itty bitty Micheals near me too.
The thing I really disliked about knitting was the fact that it was soooo slow in comparison to crochet. But that whole "getting a run if you drop a stitch", pretty much clenched it for me not caring for knitting.
Update on the cabled scarf, I still think the TKS is too tight with the N hook so I frogged it and started over with the P and now I'm happy with it. The smaller hook might work well with a light worsted like SS, but not so much with RH.
I saw that on the news last night about the arctic vortex. Doesn't look like we'll be getting quite as cold this time, but cold enough.
Sending very warm thoughts your way.
