New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Welcome! Smile

Awww, thank you! Kiss

We don't have a specific time frame yet as to when C2C will be available. We do a lot of testing before releasing a new feature, so that's one of the reasons it's difficult to tell when one will be available. It could be ready as early as January, but we can't promise this, since testing may discover some problems that will delay the feature's release.

I'm so sorry I can't give you a more specific answer!

I can understand being in love with C2C - I am, too! It's such a cool stitch, and it's certainly faster than working in single crochet and even double crochet!

I am new to C2C graphgans and would love to be able to graph my own designs. I see this comment from 2 years ago but still don't see the option to use C2C. Am I missing it?

Hi Kathy,

I am looking for a solution to the problem Caroline is having or similar to it. I want to make a graph from a photo, but I want the background solid. Would you be able to help me? If you could email me at lilbj48@yahoo.com that would be wonderful as I will probably forget to come back to this message when I log out!

Melanie,

No.. Not very kid friendly.. At least not very #parents-that-has-kids-with-long-eyes-friendly.." Damnit.. :p

Yeah.. I COULD crochet a basic blanket, and cross stitch the stuff on it.. But that is not very likely to happen either..  :p I am soooo lazy when it comes to blankets and such... So much work.. It borres me :/

Sherry

I didn't even notice the difference to be honest.. :p

Sharane,

Welcome!  Smile

To work a crochet graph, you'll generally start from the bottom of the graph, working right to left.  For the second row, though you'll be still working from right to left, you must reverse the way you follow the graph, going left to right for the second and all subsequent even rows.

As with any type of crochet pattern, you would use a turning chain before starting the next row.  Smile  The turning chain helps you to "step up" to work the next row.  Smile

Hope that helps!  Smile

I posted two FREE knitting patterns for Kindle for today...grab them before they're gone!  (Note: you do not need to have an actual Kindle.  If you have a smartphone, you can download a Kindle reader app for FREE...if all you have is a PC, you can download to your PC...and I believe there may also be a way now of completely bypassing any kind of reader app to read directly online - though please don't quote me on that, as I'm not sure.  I find the PC reader to be quite decent for pattern content...since I don't own a Kindle, I can't say how well it works...but I would think a smaller screen would make patterns kind of difficult to read.)
