New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Having a choice of grid color might work. Don't know what happened to my message. I was out camping and sent it from my phone. But I would like to see if a lighter grid color would work. Thanks
iM TRYING TO CONVERT MY MOM'S PHOTO INTO A PATTERN AND IM HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE RESULTS. THERE'S ANY TUTORIAL ON HOW TO USE THE PROGRAM AND ITS DIFFERENTS CMPONENTS. IM STOCK. IM TRYING TO DO CROCHET BY NUMBER. THANKS
Sue,
The artwork function will be turned on shortly after I turn on the new internal graphics engine that's the heart of the freePatternWizard. This new "engine" will make the program much more flexible and is the first step to bringing the new freePatternWizard software live.
I'm currently in the final stages of testing and debugging this new software.
Terry
Sue,
Welcome! So glad you found us, and please thank whoever told you about us on our behalf!
LOL, a housekeeper sounds great in theory...but expensive in reality. Perhaps what is needed here is a clone. Or, as someone I used to know once wrote, a wife!
Washington State! That's a place I've always wanted to visit. I've only been as close as Oregon, long ago. Loved Oregon, so beautiful! And Washington sounds even lovelier.
How exciting to have lived overseas! Did you see a lot of Europe when you lived in Germany?
Feel free to share pictures of your work so we can all drool!
Debbie,
Loving all of these ideas...brilliant!
Thinking Garnstudio would have some interesting charts. They're my favorite "go to" for free patterns...
Fo instance, this pattern has lace, and it does have charts:

I'd especially love to learn about using charts to modify patterns. I'm almost always modifying patterns, because my vision is usually different than a particular pattern.
As for a chart to decode, that would be nice, too. Perhaps a pattern that's a bit less complex than the lace pattern above?
How exciting...thank you for doing this!
